Tears gone by

I caught a tear from a dream you had I tried to fight it, but I soon grew sad. I felt your soul and I could see your face. I’ll cry forever to endure your fate. I washed my hands, said “I’m done with truth.” But something’s calling me back to you--- The tears keep falling to me from one of your dreams. I catch your tears in the palm of my hand. If I lose them, then I’m less of a man. And I broke away; cut it; severed But I’ll love you from then to forever.
