Tears of a War Orphan

The war kept us bound We couldn’t see all the many things we could be Our parents were sent away and told to come back another day. The hope of tomorrow left the children in sorrow The eyes, the tears, and the pain we all felt Knowing our parents weren’t coming back made our hearts melt Tears of a War Orphan The pain, the sorrow the waiting on tomorrow Waiting to be taken in With someone of the same skin The tears of War Orphans
