technologically advanced, socially regressed

You're disappointed because I didn"t have my paper today

my lips are the gate barricading the words I can't say

That I don't have access to a computer at home

it's a struggle just to reach microsoft word or google chrome

most other kids have these things at their fingertips

they can get the resources they need in just a few clicks

just a few years ago it was all paper and lead

something people of all financial backgrounds could afford

as easily as toothpaste, soap or bread

but now we have the convience of technology

available to privilaged kids, but not people like me

what happened to equal opportunity?
