Technology

I have become cognizant of our intrinsic link with technology

Innate ideas of survival are all but curtailed by our technological advancements

Our consummate degree of skill is quite impressive

But we must also be aware of the concomitant consequences of it as well

Our language has become concise

If it can’t be confined to 140 characters, why bother writing it?

People restrict themselves to a single social clique and dare not mingle and traverse

Life has become nothing but an amalgamation of drama, iphones, Television, videogames, and war

None quite inquisitive enough to care about the slow annihilation of the world around them

They are too caught up in their lavish homes on their expensive computers and smartphones

The large companies like Apple and Microsoft, become an Epiphany of God, controlling all of us

And I could have sent you in a big circumlocution but the enormous words in this poem just further express my intricate thought.

Because with every word, some of you will start to sweat even more as you realise that technology has limited your speech.

Technology may have helped us, but it has failed us as well
