Technology

We run in circles and keep coming back to this place but we face a disgrace

when we race to the finish just to taste that sweet victory we so desperately

need. We feed on accomplishments and thrive for achievements but trust me

none of these accolades are really needed. Your life alone is your biggest prize,

but you couldn't see that with your covered up eyes. See, your eyes are covered

up by the light form your cell phone screen, you see? Well, i guess you don't. They

tell us to put our electronics away but they know we won't, because without electronics

we be vulnerable to the truth. We believe that the internet has everything we need to know

but the truth. We think Google is God because it has all the answers to our homework. We think

Facebook is Heaven because it's our social network. YouTube is the golden goose because it craps

out new viral videos for us to enjoy. We treat technology like a toy and it treats us like prey.

We browse and buy products online never taking the chance to step outside into the sunlight

to enhance our minds because we can find all of that enhancement, online. One click here I poke my

friend. I cant talk face to face I'd much rather hit send with a smiley face to convey my emotion with

the notion that I'm happy but I'm not. Technology is our heart, but were letting our minds rot. I can

express myself, but I only get 420 spaces. I've been talking to my friends all day, but all I've seen is

still faces. Technology is our religion and we pray every night. Were always on Facebook hoping for

some likes. They like me online, but not in real life, hey who wants to be my Facebook wife. I need

this fake thrill just to sleep at night, but if you ask me thanks to technology we as humanity have sealed

our fate to die.
