Teen of Teen's Testimony

I sit in class to learn what I already know

That the teachers could care less and my peers aren't but rather the show.

Sometimes I cry because I'd rather just die than to be cast out as hungry and broke,

But they're my friends right, I beg to differ your opinion for my statement is no.

I test my own fears just so i know I am alive and that I have an existence,

Yet I'm threating with alienation and rude remarks not a hug but a fist.

Am I really learning or am I just observing that I'm lonely?

I am on of a teen of teen's testimony.

I'm walking through the halls and I get pushed and shoved.

Seeing the girls chase not the good guys, but the want to be thugs.

I tuck my pencil in because I don't want to poke girl with child;

As I walk past her I see the regret about the night she went wild.

I see the guys smoking pot and the teacher letting it pass,

yet that's the same teacher telling me this generation is not like the last.

Will I understand the girl in the mirror placing clay on her face

acting stuck up because things at home should be in a better place.

Are we really learning or are we just observing that we're lonely?

We are all one of a teen of teen's testimony.

As i listen to guy on my right;

he tells his friend about what happend the other night.

He brags about the sex but doubts it'll ever happen again,

because her hair was too nappy and the shade of her skin.

You see white is a clear mind.

Black is a thick behind.

Brown represents the new pride.

Now you see why diversity will never catch time.

Your either team light skin, flawless with a eight curve.

Or team dark skin, not suggested without a weave and perm.

Are we girls really learning or observing that we're learning?

For we are most of the teen of teen's testimony.

I hear the girl on my left

telling her friend her guy left.

She soaked in tears because she didn't listen to her dad about the guy

and fathers know best.

This dude stuck already.

Things weren't smooth his life is already no steady.

He has to prove to the guys not himself that if something goes down

there is no thinking he's ready.

He has to be laced with the lastest gear,

or he'll be laughed at by his peers.

On top of that mentally he's going crazy,

and now he's stuck with all that and a baby.

Are the guys learning or observing that they're lonely?

I hope they know they're not alone because they're one of the teen of teen's testimony
