Teenage "Once Love" Story

Clouded by the vengeful thoughts of remorse Dreading the new life that my life will take course Creating a new self-image to keep and to hold This lethargic life I’m living soon will be old But the future I seek is blockaded by fear I spend my existence fighting to hide the tear My jade eyes pour out like a waterfall Acting as a spill way of the emotion I hold in all The dreams I perceive are way too strong to fight But they are only nightmares I sense in the ebony night Waking up alone is the only nightmare that stays when I awake Other dreams are the fears I face but are genuinely fake How could I hate the decision I willingly made? I adopted the thought of allowing your memory to fade I ended this love for the better I thought But now in a nightmare I found myself caught Letting go and moving on is the best I can do But that’s not for me, that is for you So I’ll bury the part of me that was yours forever That’s how I’ll consolidate for the words that weren’t clever People will forget what we were, and you will too But My heart won’t forget no matter what it is I do
