Teenager

Thirteen is the first year of your teenager life

Thirteen I came out to my parents as bisexual

They said they would not believe me until I was eighteen

Being bisexual is a phase they said.

Dated a girl at thirteen to prove them wrong.

I ended the relationship at fourteen

To stop the abuse from her.

Dated a male at fifeteen

It lasted for five months

I was used as rebound

Is this what love is?

Being used and abused

And what for?

To continue the population

The population of this planet

But I want more

I want a connection

Safety

Warmth

Courage

And most of all, love

At seventeen I found the one

He is a couple years older

But likes me because I am mature for my age

Maybe thats because I have been hurt too many times

Or maybe becase I was hurt so many times that I know what I want now

But he shows me what it truly means to be loved

To feel protected

Now at nineteen he is the one I want to marry.
