Television Prince

I imagine one day a prince would come

Just as all the fairy tales say.

But wait as I might, he has yet to appear

I worry he may have lost his way.

My parents tell me to remain patient.

My friends tell me I don’t need a man.

So why am I drawn to this idea

Of having Prince Charming ask for my hand?

Then one day I see him standing there.

He’s tall and handsome as I thought he’d be.

He’s funny, kind, and a bit mischievous.

The only problem; he’s one my tv screen.
