Tell me

Tell me you love me in the dead of winter, In mid July, when the heat is sweltering And heavy and sticky. Tell me you love me, only when you mean it, When the leaves change into orange and Wither away with the ice bitten wind. Tell me when the vessels in your heart, And the marrow in your bones shake, When you can no longer contain yourself. Tell me you love me when life is at its Grimmest, when clouds upon clouds Cast a shadow over the world, when There is not only any light, but also any tunnel. Tell me so that I may love you back. So that I may swaddle you in my embrace, So I can roll through your words, swim Through your air and sleep within your Heart. You need only tell me.
