Tell me...

Tell me, will our love last longer

Than our one night together

Or by the morrow

Will I again be a stranger?

Tell me, please let me know.

But if you do decide to go

I will not weep

Nor will I follow.

For now only, let us sleep

And enjoy the darkness deep

As real lovers ought.

Let us get lost in sleep,

Lost in dream and thought.

Please be the love I want

Before I’m again a stranger

And our love is all for naught.
