Tell me again that you love me,
But mean it.
Don’t just say it because I did,
Or because you think it’s what I want to hear.
If you tell me you love me,
Make sure you really feel it,
And aren’t just spitting out words.
I want to know it’s your feelings,
Your real feelings.
I want to know you really care,
And would really do everything you said you would.
I want to know you’re really there for me,
And aren’t just going to let me fall,
When something better comes around.
I don’t know how long this’ll last,
And I’m certainly not expecting forever,
(Though that would be great,)
But while we’re still in it,
I want to know that you really mean it,
When you tell me that you love me.
