Tell Me No More
Tell me no more of amity,
worlds lost away to crooked acts and assembly.
Ancient men filled with appetite and avidity.
Only assets as the ambition of the old minds.
Tell me no more of dreaming,
daughters discoursed from fantasies and desires.
Depleted by the old in domination.
Eventually to be dropped into ordinary development.
Tell me no more of love,
a mystic language linking two lost souls.
Yet the lifetime oath will level with lies.
Left to grow lethargic in sallow light.
And tell me no more of time,
as tired days slow into tranquil tempo.
All tales to tumble into neglection.
And tentative spirits depart towards insignificance.
