Tell Me a Story

With each scar

We define who we are
Each part
A piece of our heart
Each incision
A different decision
Each burn
A singular turn
We took to become
Who. We. Are.
We may not always be on course
But we are always on par
We have come so far
And need to go further
But
For now
We are who we are
And I can tell you my story
With each fading
Scar
