Telénor

Once there was beauty.

The heavens reflected

Upon opal waters.

Pins of color

Dancing

In a sea of swaying green.

Life abundant,

Singing…

Such was the life of Telénor…

Darkness now,

Blackened waters,

Lifeless…

Save the Kenzyths.

Dull scales cling to twisted bodies.

Contorted fins,

Useless eyes.

Ceaselessly bleeding from countless wounds.

Never born,

Never die.

Eternal skeletons, forever swimming.

Such are the fish

Of  Telénor.

Such is the life

On Telénor.

Darkness now,

Toxic forests,

Spores that still the heart.

Mangled trunks of sickly purple,

Cradle onyx leaves.

Their boughs

Lifeless…

Save the Hajints,

Forever watching.

Ghastly orbs

Smile unnervingly

Staring from wizened faces.

Silent sentries of the endless night.

Watching,

Always waiting.

Looking for life other than their own

Which they will devour

With blackened fangs.

Slowly shriveling to nothing,

Blood pouring from yellowed eyes.

Wasting away

But never dying.

Eternal skeletons forever vigilant.

Such are the apes

Of Telénor.

Such is the life

On Telénor.

Darkness now,

Crimson skies,

Clouds that never part

To allow the skies

To be illuminated in light.

Lifeless…

Save the Vaanayis.

Gliding on the toxic winds

The epitome of death.

Mangled feathers

Lay haphazardly.

Bald head peeling,

Forever bleeding,

Staining dull plumage.

Shriveled beak parts

To release a haunting cry.

Talons contorted,

Useless eyes.

Never granted mercy

From their pain,

Never to die.

Eternal skeletons forever soaring.

Such are the birds

Of Telénor,

Such is the life

On Telénor

Once a planet of beauty…

Now a hellish land.

Telénor,

Her heart shrivels,

Her eyes weep,

Dying,

Murdered by her own brood.

Her remaining children suffer,

Her sisters mourn.

But all for naught.

Telénor fades into memory

Singing...

Such was the life of Telénor.
