Template Of War
How can I fight others
if my war
is inside?
If my scars
mar my judgment?
How can I tell them to kill me
if I have
no mouth?
I am a template of war.
Bang, bang, bang
Codes my head against the surface
They can't fathom the rhythm.
I am a template of war.
Eyes, blind and shut
Facilitated breathing
I can't hear their last requests
Always conscious, sober
Begging to sleep
Undeciphered dreams overcome
And I can't even die.
I am a template of war.
