Temporary/Permanent People

I have known people my entire life,

but knew they were temporary.

I have met people for a couple of hours,

but knew they were permanent.

The difference with the "temporary people",

they were only with me for what I can give them.

While the "permanent people",

they were with me for what we could give each other.
