Temptation

(poems go here)She lays in wait for her next play She does not waste her time at all She jumps at every chance she gets And leads a man to his down fall She knows the rules to her own game And knows exactly what she will say For she’s at work she never rests Every minute every day There’s not a soul who’s weak or strong Who’s run away from her strong hold Every man who’s given in to her Has been any age either young or old She plays a sad role in human life She’s been the cause of broken trust In homes and she’s a key factor in Causing men, young and old, to lust She knows what she can do and sees The shame she is able to create Therefore she waits to see who’s next And leads the captive to his fate
