Temptations

Devil on my shoulder,

Angel in my heart, All He

can do is stay perched on

his throne and gaze.

Thoughts running

rampant, flooding my

mind, drowning that little

voice that’s hard to find.

Thrashing around, trying

to break free from that

grasp that’s holding him

under.

Evil enters the depths of

my thoughts tempting my

every whim. The apple in

my sights, it is hard to

look away, I do not know

how much longer until my

morals begin to fray. As

soon as I leave one life

behind, another ball of

yarn starts to unwind.
