Tempus (Time)

Life is a trance The race is sweaty and endless We rise to fall again; autumn tangoes spring in a contest, a contest only time wins . Life is a canvas Blank then muddled and messed up Or Blank, decorated and beautiful We make our pacts and chose our paths At the end time wins . Life is vain After the endless toils; the hustle and bustle The silent grave portals To the land of no return, where all that's left are deeds and acts. Treasures are of the world To be left in the world 'Cos time won the battle Life is borrowed We're living but a borrowed time To return when the race is over Tic-toc, speaks end as it draws on all Who knows when the Scorpion, beck on Leaving nothing but its sting for hearts to bear For time isn't ours. ©mimmy°
