Ten

Ten years old The door slamming shut And the tears flooding down Gone. Without a trace No more Abandoned. Left without a father Raised only by my mother How? How do you stop the constant pain? How do you make him come back? Abuse. The sound of my body crashing against a wall This isn't home, not family Neglect. Abandoned. Abuse. And I was just ten years old
