The Tenderloin
The Tenderloin
The place I admire, yet neglect
To live by a code
That everyone knows
To be silent
When you see something violent
Being raised here
The culture is so diverse
It’s the greatest in the universe
From eating food that can change your mood
A place of mixed people
I see thousands of different faces
Comprised of different races
Seeing people gathered from different places
Being raised here
You get used to the fear
The fear of seeing one of your friends
Come to their end
The fear of being run up
Because you’re the next come up
I fear for my life every time I step outside
Yet, it's the the same motivation that's on the inside
Nonetheless I still feel blessed
On this road to success
