Tent
I will stay strong and go to bed,
I will not suffocate in this tent,
I will keep quiet and keep the lantern on,
because little noises are just little songs.
Raindrop, raindrop on the fly,
They are not monsters tapping nearby.
Bristles and branches scratch and hiss,
They are not demons just amiss.
All by myself, no words, just thoughts,
Pitter patter, little frogs,
For they are not creatures with pointy claws.
Crunching sounds are heard nearby,
Coming closer to the side,
of the tent where I do sleep,
The zippers start to move and squeak...
