Termination
I look in the mirror and what do I see A pair of hazel eyes staring back at me So worn and tired and wet with tears But the same I have had for 17 years I watch the mirror only to see My hand resting on my stomach so placidly Gripping my shirt to pull it up out of the way to reveal what i've been hiding from them for several days I give in to the mirrors reflection and rub the spot for further inspection and what do I feel beneath the skins surface, but the product of giving in to senseless urges and I turn to the side to see if it's grown and shake my head, wishing that I had known And I watch as my hot tears shed the disguise of an innocent face and caring eyes I stare in the mirror and what do I see A confused girl responsible for a new life to be without as much care as she had intended bearing the willingness, and the strength to end it.
