Terrified

once upon a time

there was a light inside of me

it was refined

to fit the rule sof society

ensared, entrapped, entombed

by my past

can't escape, can't run away

from his trap

But i, i am the hurricane

they told me, i can't withstand

and i, i'll need the strength

to go on

but know this, cause i know this

i'm terrified

what's lost can't be found

it's never to late to turn back around

what's done is done

can't undo his crimes

but i can at least try

i am a storm blowing through this life

taking with me, all my own tradegy

and i, i'll need the strength

to carry on

but know this, cause i know this

i'm terrified

of what's next

of who's there

behind me

i can't see

i'm terrified

of my past

that he's gone

somewhere

i can't follow

but i, i know i am strong

despite the scars of his words

and i, i will go on

even though i know i'm terrified
