The Terrors In The World

As I lay in my bed at night

I pray that I won’t have a fright

My heart hits the sky

My brain does a war cry

Because things aren’t always black and white

The movies depict strange, weird things

Like crazy, cruel dictators and kings

Alien invasions

And selfish restrictions

They all hold back happiness’ strings

Perhaps that noise is a fighter jet

Or nuclear bombs about to set

Either way it’s not fair

How there’s greed everywhere

I just wish the world could forget

I hope my children don’t think as I

So they don’t have to turn a blind eye

The bad may decrease

So the thoughts may cease

Time will only tell as it goes by
