Testament to Life

I have reached the edge of life with no where else to go
Even though hell and heaven seem like  the status quo,
I am not the type to whom that honor should be bestowed.
Because deceit and hate is all I ever showed
There truly is no other right road
Anywhere I go I am bound to implode
Either mentally or by grabbing a gun and letting it unload
Yet still I find hope to help me think of a way out
Hoping that my lord and savior is guiding me to the exit of this deep, miserable drought
Now I know without a doubt
That my escape involves Him all throughout
So I followed the light and let it take over
So I can finally start living, and stop being a rover
Life is a testament of what you believe
And not an indication of what you once perceived.
