Tethered
I am here
Holding the peices together,
Tethered,
Like a squeaky Merry-Go-Round
Flying one hundred kites,
Swooping tips,
Swirling tails.
Me, knotting the past to the present.
Over under,
Under over.
Holding on to the remains with one hand,
My other waving in tomorrow.
Holding on to all I have left,
with dear life.
Memories flashing by like a silent
Black and white film,
Flickering and dancing on through.
Holding on to the strands of life's rickety rope bridge,
So the future can cross
And join me on my journey.
Shaking and wobbling,
Wobbling and shaking.
Smiling for other's sake more than my own,
Painting a brilliant and
Perfect coloured mask.
Holding my home and house together,
like it never fell apart.
Tethered,
Tied,
Neatly in a bow,
For the world to smile emptily at.
Twisting a placid image,
Into the reflection they all see.
Holding on to the
Shattering linbs of our tree,
Pondering life's questions
Shall I fall?
Wll it break?
If it does, what will be become of me?
All questions and no answers,
not unti it shatters,
And you fall into a feild of blooming daises.
Then you wonder,
When did these daises grow?
When?
Why?
And How?
All knotted tightly,
intertwined with our hopes and dreams.
Though the road is uncertain,
We journey on.
Forever tethered,
And holding the Peices of life together.
Never to understand,
even if they all fall apart.
