Thank you

Dear past,

I forgive you

I forgive you for the pain you've caused me

I forgive you for the troubles you've thrown my way

In the moment I hated you

But as I look back I thank you

Thank you for hurting me

for you have made me strong

Thank you for pushing me down

for I learned how to stand back up

Thank you for molding me into the person that I am today

As I venture off to continue my life

I take with me the memories you've given me

As I add more and more events to you

I hope you accept them with loving arms

As I start the next chapter of my life

I know you'll be there to guide me

I forgive you

I thank you

Continue to guide me

Let the story continue...
