Thank You

Dear Man Who Gave Me Back My Binder When I Accidentally Left it On The Bus,

Thank you

You are good

People like you make the world good

You took my binder and my soccer cleats all the way to my school

When the doors closed before you could reach me

You didn’t have to do that

I’m sorry I never sent you the cupcakes I told you I would

Thank you

You are good

Dear Scrabble Woman,

You were old

And you thought changing “hit” to “shit” in Scrabble was really funny

So did I

I’m glad I met you and I’m glad we laughed

Thank you for making that day a good day

A day I remember

I hope you are happy

You deserve to be happy

Thank you

You are good

Dear Cell Savers Guy,

Thank you for fixing my iPhone the third time I broke it

And offering me free life advice

I appreciate that your company will come to the customer’s house

And I appreciate that it’s cheaper than in Stonestown

And I enjoyed the life advice

Thank you

You are good

Dear friends,

Thank you for sticking with me

People like you are what make the world good

Dear strangers,

Thank you for giving the world a chance

We’re all trying to do our best

And we’re all doing a pretty damn good job

Thank you for being good
