Thank You

I came into this world-

Just a small, confused girl;

Watching all of these lives

Filled with pain, hate, and strife.

Saw them stumbling around

With one foot in the ground,

And I wondered why

They all lived just to die.

I was very distressed

As I pondered this mess,

So I decided then

Not to be like them.

Now I'm glad as can be

For this showed me, you see:

The wrong way to think,

To make happiness shrink.

So thank you to all

I saw stumble and fall;

You gave me the key,

And it set me free.

I live a good life-

Free of pain, hate, or strife;

And you showed me the way,

Now for you, I pray.
