Thank You

The ones that tried to take my passion

To the coaches that tried to make me hate the game, thank you

Thank you because you made me realize something

Thank you because I realized you can’t break me

And thank you because you made me realize something

You made me realize that when you love something no one can take that from you

I have had coach after coach try to make the game of softball miserable for me, but none of it worked I love the game too much. I love the game, the friends that I made while playing it, and nobody can take that away from me. Having these coaches has made me realize just how much I love this game, it has been my passion for years now. I also realized that I need to really enjoy it all while I can, because someday this sport won’t be something that I get to do every day. And I know that when I do decide to hang up my cleats for good, it is going to hurt, and a little part of me will be up there with them because this game has become a part of me, it has made me do so many things that I would not have dreamed of doing had I not played it. This sport means so much to me, because it has helped shape me into who I am today.
