Thank you for being my friend

I have been shunned

I have been rejected

I have been alone

I may have classmates, but I don't have peers

I may have a house, but I don't have a home

I may have legs, but I can not walk alone

I don't have anyone to turn to

I don't have anyone wanting to help

I don't have a real family

And I LOATH it

But when you put your hand on my shoulder

When you showed me a path

When you lifted me up

And all that went AWAY.

Thank you for being my friend
