Marching from state to state

We have witnessed

The violent acts acted out against our people

As we peacefully protested

While they passed laws and did things

To keep us in an inferior position

We stood together, like linked chains

We fought like the warriors of our

Past ancestors.

We fought for the birth given rights

That they had no right to

Deprive from us. But we have overcome

Each and every obstacle

They have thrown at us. And thanks to those

Who stuck for what was right,

They have not only changed the lives of

Those back then,

But the lives today. So thank you

For making history!
