Thank You Letter for Poetry

Dear Poetry:

Thank you for teaching me

how to express myself in a melody

because it is thanks to you

that I can write do descriptively

you brought verses to life

you gave rythm to my soul

it is only now that I appreciate

what you are as a whole

whenever I feel bottled up,

I just scream and shout

but without letting a single word

out of my twisted mouth

I am currently thanking you

for being more than just writing

because now all of my feelings

can no longer keep hiding

Without you my words

were just written leters

but when you came

you made everything better

I no longer have to fight

with the inner person inside of me

I can put my thoughts into words

and just let them be free
