Thank You Mom

Even tough I lived in the hood My mama made everything feel so good She did everything that she could Even tried to do the things that a real father should Even though I never knew my father when I thought of him I got a lil bothered For a boy like me life only got harder So I had to grow up to be just a lil stronger Mama said I would be tall I remember when sh brought me my first basketball When she tried to teach me She couldn't even reach me Maybe that's why she didn't try to beat me Even though my daddy didn't care I knew thru my mom that love was always there So never did I care if he was out there looking for me that would be to much for me to bare I grew up strong and I in my heart I sing the livest song I'm a man with or without it There is no doubt that I'm about it I'm glad that mom provided the best father figure in my life With God by her side I grew up alright. They say that women and men all have a choice and the best thing for them to do is follow their voice. I'm blessed that my mother did that and also followed her heart, This is a life that won't be wasted
