Thankful

Fear controls me,

And I am thankful.

Fear guides me,

And I am thankful.

Fear fuels me,

And I am thankful.

Of all I have been fearful of,

I still find myself trying.

Trying, reaching, moving.

It is not the fear of trying and failing,

That truly frightens me.

It is the fear of missing,

Missing a chance, an oppurtunity, a say.

I fear many things,

But above all I fear missing out.

Missing out on what could be, what might be.

Fear of my fears drives me to overcome.

Fear controls me,

So I am thankful.

Fear guides me,

So I am thankful.

Fear fuels me,

So I am thankful.
