Thank you for your love, 

Your time and attention.

Thank you for your trust,

Your mind and affection.

Thank you for patience, 

And longing and devotion.

Thank you for your heart

And the surrender

That’s supposed to go with it.

Thank you for your lies

Your hidden possessions 

Thank you for dead love

And fake affection 

Thanks for not responding 

Even in person.

Thank you for your lack of time

And false conventions 

Thank you for leaving me 

Questioning what I did wrong 

Thank you for the time 

That feels completely lost 

Thank you for getting mad

At my love and protection 

Thank you for treating me 

As no more than an option

Signed with vanished love,

your leaving “lover”
