Thanks, Bro

My friend, good man,

Truly my brother.

I had your back, in

return, you had mine.

When I was down, or

Crossing the line,

You knew what to say.

Encouragement, jokes,

a kind reprimand.

At any time, I could

Lean on your shoulder.

We carried each other

Through the troubles

of life on this earth.

Friend, great man, you're

Surely my brother.

Over the years, we've

Carried each other, and...

One last time, friend,

I'll carry you, good man.

Bear on my shoulder

the one I call brother.

I'll lay you to rest,

Choke on my prayer,

For I was blessed

by you, my friend,

The best man, and

Forever my brother.
