Thanks to the Dreamer

I once fell in love with a dreamer
He exhumed me from the grave
I was digging myself.
Love was breathed into my hollow lungs
Oh, how I hung on so dearly to those arms,
pulling me out of my own grave.

One day they slipped away from me,
those arms.
And I let them.
How foolish of myself to let go of the dreamer.
Except when I fell,
my grave did not catch me;
only freshly dug up dirt..
That covers my once deep grave.
