Thanks for Smiling

I wear my struggles Upon my back And the colder days Feel blight and dreary And when I'm at my worst The shadows consume me But in those moments Of arid and aching thirst You always exhume me You wear your joy Upon your cheeks And you warm the days All is bright and cheery Though I don't look quite As graceful in wearing it I don my own smile Because it feels So much better in sharing it
