Thanks To You

Dear Self Esteem,

I've come to thank you
At one point in time, I had lost my smile
At one point in time, all I did was frown
And sadly, my smile was gone for a while

But, then you came with your cape and some tape
And with your help, my smile is back in place
Its toothy and contagious
It's goofy and courageous

The long lost curve of my lips
Is gracious and inspiration
I wear it effortlessly everyday
It's flashed in every way

It’s used for motivation
It can appease a nation
I thank you for the joy in my heart
I thank you for playing your part

Now I can flaunt and show my power
Maybe I’ll be able to have happy-ever-after
A newly discovered flower
That’s full of laughter

Love Bree,
Thank you.
