Thanks Yous to a Backwards World

I used to look up to the original captain Robin Williams himself, but one day he got too depressed and went into a closet and hung himself. The tragedy of life that a man who brought so many so much joy was too to stand breathing another day. It kind of inspires me in a backwards way not to do same. Maybe him dying was my inspiration not to. But then again maybe that's just how I justify my childhood idol being dead.

Anyway, well I'm on the subject, let me thank the other backwards things in life. Thank you, to my first love for breaking my heart, and yet somehow teaching me how to love myself more than I ever could of when I was with you. Thank you, to my father who spent my whole childhood expressing his love for me by screaming and yelling, but who inatvertantly made me as strong and as confident as I am today. Thank you for school for teaching me more about the realities of life than facts out of a textbook. Thank you, to all my friends who've left me through the years for teaching me exactly who I don't want to be around. Thank you, to my mother for support my dreams with your love and finacial means. Thank you, to my pastors for teaching me about the religions I have built my life on. Thank you, to a man named Chris Yiesla, who taught me how to play guitar, and that "it's okay to be emotional, just make sure they are giving the directions in your life not driving."

Thank you, to everyone who has ever stuck by me. My church family, you are my ride or dies. And thanks you again to my father for showing me music and movies, one of my two earthly loves in life.

Most importantly, thank you to God for keeping me alive all this time. My whole life is yours Lord. Thank you.
