Thanksgiving Poem

It's Thanksgiving time

My faith has grown beyond a mustard seed

A time where the past meets the future

A new era, but no mistakes made

We give thanks because of what God gave

We build monuments with our tongues,

Praises for another day, go higher than Babel Tower ever could

And now I'm ready to reap the fruit of my labor

Set it on the table

Cook with love and before you taste food, passover the last supper, so someone else feels the warmth

Now I’m allowed to sit at the bigger table

This thanksgivin families and enemies are welcome

Let grace fill your hunger

And mercy clothe you

We all are the Doctor of our virtues

So many times, I tried to write off Patience

The times only right when He moves His Hand

Time Only writes when He moves His Hand

Know it’s not only you and you’ll know where being humble began

That’s why all my prayers begin and end with a man

Every Prayer is a letter, Thank God His address is bent knees, bowed heads street

And closed together Hands

My compass is lost when it doesn’t seek you first  and

I find you, when I love my neighbor and

Cross Christ’s Threshold

I grab a to go plate

Need whole peace

And once I’ve eaten plenty

I need faith, hope, and love leftovers

Flooded house because of cups flowing over

Thank God for His sin disinfecting Holiness

I believe in your telling, but then You put in my vision Blessings

Pouring Down and show like in showering

Why Cleanliness is next to Godliness

Father’s play with their children

This is something like Simon says,

God, I need more than ten commandments

Thank God

For the new life that comes

Whether it be through mouth or through womb

They deliver defeat’s eulogy

It’s Victory sweet like honey calms

The strain of my burdens

Thank God

The week took everything off the shelf, here’s a list of things I need you to restore

My strength, heart, and circumfaith

The Shepherd gives me a piece of the pie, so I want no more

For my freedom already payed

No Black Friday to await

But more soul needs saving on the floor

But if we let him in, we'll see what he has in store

Thank God

For this strength that brings me from

Cold nights into marvelous light

After the river I've cried

From my eyes

Visions, know what you have an eye for

T.e.a.r.s  don't mean tears anymore

It means tears

As in through my terrors

Into my blessings

Thank God for the love

Let go off angers

Because I'm my brothers keeper

I ask for love that last longer than a church mothers prayer

Keeps me going

And connected

And in Blessin

Thank God

Thank God

Thank God
