Thanksgiving Shenanigans

The pre-dinner murmurs and chatter arise
Talks of who got the raise and who's child cries
How festive.. how jovial is the thanksgiving vibe
Especially the part where mom takes a bribe
Too assign my seat far away from the creepy uncle with wandering eyes
Pretense is prevalent and the troublesome brother is again full of lies
But common.. who even buys?
New girlfriends
New hobbies
New adventures are shared
Small talk is beautiful all until cousin sam dared
to speak of our commander in chief Mr Trump
All of a sudden the lawyers of the family arise
To make their assertions, as granny cries
Dads booming voice comes to play
Love is in the air.. What a day
The tables are turning the Turners are on the table (Aunt and Uncle Turner)
Oh man wheres the tray?
There it lay… The ol’’ turkey
We convene in the sake of the poor turkeys leg
Common Sister Meg!
Its undercooked again!
