That's What Friends Do


You said you looked up to Iago from Othello,

took pride in your 100 without reading Song of Solomon.

Talked about the teacher behind her back

and never laughed at any of her jokes.

 

You said that you wanted to get "always seen smiling"

but no one else agreed. And that pissed you off.

Words fall out of your mouth like it's constant

confetti to your daily pity party.

 

You were brought down, so you brought us down too

and called it "That's what friends do."
