That's When I Knew
When the highlight of my day was that really good stretch I got in right after I woke up,
When my father started asking me for help lifting what he would typically lift for me,
When I started seeing kids not as potential playmates, but living, breathing bundles of naivete,
When my blissful ignorance was turned against my will into disillusionment,
That's when I knew I had grown up.
