That's where you'll find me

You keep finding a way

To break my heart in two

I can do that by myself

Who said I needed you?

Who said I was too stupid to realize I’m being used?

Who said I’m just a robot who could never feel abused?

Who said that my ignorance was the reason I’m confused?

Who said I would never leave despite being accused?

Who said that my ugliness was the reason I’m not loved?

Who said that I don’t feel pain despite the fact that I’m shoved?

Who said no one would touch me unless their hands were gloved?

Who said I could never find my dearly beloved?

Well none of this is true as you can see

I cry just like you, you can’t just “fix” me

I might not look like a butterfly, I might not sting like a bee

And I’m not super smart, even if I need to be

But there is one thing you could never understand

Despite its importance, Please Your head is in the sand

It’s empathy to sympathy, the scars in one’s hand

Waiting for someone to come and take a stand

This is the person I want to be

I used to be confined, but now I’ve been set free

By the ones that light love up like a Christmas tree

In the midst of those people, that’s where you’ll find me
