That's a Wrap.
we have been the most beautiful experience.
the most hopeful, the most promising,
we are.
it's unbearable that we have to depart,
but even as the tears stream down my cheeks,
i know i will see you soon.
and i know, that in time,
(time, such a demon),
the day will come when nothing separates us.
you gave me that promise,
and i will thrive off of it.
your wish for me to be happy will come true.
i'll be happy, despite the part of me that you will always have.
i'll become accustomed to missing you,
but that doesn't mean i'll stop,
i will still feel that queasy feeling in the pit of my stomach,
but eventually i'll be able to endure it and function properly.
i'll have terrible nights, i know it already.
thoughts will float unwelcome into my head,
and the straight face i put on for everyone will rip apart.
i will hurt,
physically, mentally, emotionally,
but i will do as you say and look up at the stars,
letting them sort out my thoughts.
i don't say thank you enough,
so thank you,
for the sweetest promise i have ever been given,
the promise to come back,
the reassurance that you are quite serious,
that i am enough,
and that we are perfect.
until next time.
