The angles and the fallen
Who really knows what happens after death,
Maybe the preachers were right about right and wrong,
Sure we may have been the bad apples from the tree,
Or was it fate for Eve to take a bite of the apple that was to fall,
Granting us freedom from our shackles before we fell to rot away,
We may have different values,
But there’s one thing clear as day,
And that’s the morals that make us,
While preachers beg for forgiveness,
Begging for mercy and salvation for their sins,
The labeled sinners are working harder AND HARDER
not looking for salvation or forgiveness from a grander being,
But working hard to find mercy from themselves,
As the sinners are damned and put to work,
The saints preach blindly to what they think is true,
As much as I respect that dearly,
I see no reason in why the saints, I wonder,
Why do the saints play god to pass judgement on the damned.
